As you enter through the front gate, you’ll notice a newly installed pool with several lounging areas. Tropical trees and bushes provide this tranquil outdoor space with shade and a sense of privacy.

On the ground floor you’ll find two bedrooms, both with double beds and ensuite bathrooms. One with a traditional Khmer shower and the other with a modern rainfall shower.

Following traditional Khmer architecture, the rooms have small screen-covered air openings around the ceiling for improved air circulation. This provides you with a gentle breeze and keeps the rooms at a nice temperature.

Cambodian houses are known to feature large, open spaces and this three-story villa is no different. The living room is perfect for activities. Set up a peaceful indoor yoga session or even get an in-house massage. A western-style kitchen is attached to the living room and really helps set this villa apart. Here you’ll find a fridge-freezer, triple gas burner, and double sink along with a cozy dining table.

The second floor is for you to kick back and relax. Right at the top of the stairs, you’ll notice a long comfy couch. This is a nice open reading area. A few steps away is a smaller reading room equipped with a television for those who love something a bit more personal.

The highlight of the floor, and the entire villa, is the wooden sitting room found at the end of the hall.

Deep-colored wood covers the space from floor to ceiling, including the furniture, following traditional Khmer styling. The room’s high semi-open roof allows for amazing air circulation and there’s an easily accessible wrap-around balcony.

This traditional sitting room is the best spot for chatting over tea, reading a good book, or just contemplating your new Cambodian experiences.

Climb a second flight of stairs to make your way to the peak of the Butterfly Pea Villa. Enjoy the lovely view and breeze, as you stand on the rooftop. Up here you have a large open space with two seating areas. On one side a six-seater dining table, the other a cozy lounge. And, there’s no better place for a rooftop sunrise yoga session.
